OVERVIEW: The rural sloping site was astutely utilised through the positioning of the entrance hall, sleeping quarters, gym, garage to the upper floor and fully glazed open plan living spaces below.
Specification included extensive excavation, a waterproof concrete and tanking membrane system and a steel portal frame supporting floor to ceiling architectural glazing. The external oak clad was set in a distinctive horizontal shadow gap formation, against a background of distinctive architectural brick retaining and feature walls. A complete Barr Group project, the made-to-measure cabinetry throughout was by Barr Joinery and the contemporary kitchen was designed and manufactured by Barr Kitchens.
