Barr Build work with professionalism and discretion, alongside estate owners, client representatives, estate managers and property agents, to sympathetically build, restore and enhance country residences, as well as their estate buildings, landscaping and amenities.
Country Estates
Our aim is to ensure that each Barr Build intervention contributes positively to the estate’s ongoing story, celebrating its history and shaping its future.
Often across successive work phases, for long-term clients, Barr Build country estates projects have included full country house restoration projects, estate curtilage conversions, shooting lodge and orangery repair and refurbishments and the construction of equestrian facilities, pool houses and leisure complexes.
Where large-scale, time-sensitive renovation works are required, Barr Build have the capacity to rapidly mobilise an extensive cross-functional workforce, particularly where aesthetic and functional refurbishment works are required in restricted timeframes or for imminent occupancy.

In focus
Over the past decade the Barr Build Country Estates team have been privileged to form ongoing partnerships with a select number of our region’s eminent Country Estates. The requirements of our country estate custodians have been hugely varied and understandably challenging, ranging from major complex construction phases to more minor ancillary building repair works. Whatever the nature of the work phase, the common requirement has been for dedicated, trusted and discrete long-term support.
The Barr Build Country Estates team is experienced in minimising disruption, particularly where an estate remains occupied during works. Each work phase is carefully planned, in conjunction with ongoing maintenance, to manage access, works sequencing and site operations, whilst prioritising safety, security and discretion.
