Mulberry Cottage

Steventon, Oxfordshire

Working directly for our clients the Barr Build Direct to Client team renovated this from top to toe, including made to measure joinery and cabinetry throughout.

This Cotswold Stone and timber clad property had long awaited the chance to fulfil its true potential. The works involved a structural re-model to ground floor of the house to improve the flow of this charming L-shaped property.

The whole house underwent a complete refurbishment, no stone left unturned. Our clients were fully involved in the project throughout, designing their own cabinetry and kitchen, with the help of the Barr Joinery and Barr Kitchens teams. The finished project lets our clients own style and the original character of the cottage shine through, with results which speak for themselves.

“We had a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve. The Barr Group team were very able to understand and interpret our ideas.”
Tracy Norris-Evans, Barr Group Client

Structural

An old ground floor bathroom, between kitchen and snug was removed, aided by structural steel works. This allowed the staircase behind to be reconfigured creating an uninterrupted kitchen/living space with more light and dramatically improved flow.

Aesthetic

Unique individual pieces of cabinetry and joinery are the standout feature of the Mulberry Cottage renovation. Working to our clients’ ideas and designs, alongside the Barr build team, Barr Joinery and Barr Kitchens were able to bring some truly exceptional made to measure pieces to life.
