The premise of the Barr Group charity and community scheme is to match skills with need – whether that be building services, maintenance work, project management or administration.
Our dedicated local charity is Thomley – a magical place, not far from Barr Group HQ, for people of all abilities and disabilities.
Although our team work with varying charities and community organisations, in all sorts of ways, Barr Group has one dedicated charity partner. The Thomley team, and their amazing site, offer a huge range of experiences and activities to its visitors. However, what goes hand in hand with this incredible offering is its upkeep, maintenance and the inevitable ongoing expansion which evolves in response to its visitors’ needs. Barr Build felt a strong connection with Thomley from the outset and agreed that we had the right skill balance across the team to provide the right kind of help. Like Barr Group, Thomley is all about ‘people’; an organisation which directly reflects a key our core purpose of creating opportunities. In addition, members of the Barr Build team have personal and wider connections with the charity and creating an even stronger sense of engagement.
